Selling USED products

I’ve purchased from them several times now, and each time at least one of the pens I received was used. I believe the pens they demo in their videos and pictures are the very same products they ship to their customers. Thus my “new” pens last a few days, if that. I do not trust this company and will never buy from them again.

They sent me a used fountain pen, and lied about it.

I am a fountain pen collector, so it is very important to me that what I buy is a new product. I was a bit careful after reading the reviews here, but I thought I'd still give it a try. I specifically wrote an e-mail inquiring if all of the fountain pens they were selling were in 100% new condition. I got a response assuring me that every pen they would sell were new. When I received the pen, I already had a bad feeling. The feeder had stains on it. But I couldn't tell for sure, because it was my first fountain pen of this brand. It was just a nagging feeling, because something was off, but I had no proof. When I bought another fountain pen of this brand, I had my certainty. I knew that a new pen of this brand would be SEALED (the one they sent me was opened), and it wouldn't have any stains anywhere. It just feels so awful being lied to like that. I asked a specific question, and what I got was a lie. Plain and simple. And of course, I paid a full price for a used pen. I have no problems with it, when companies sell used fountain pens, but they should declare them as such. Otherwise it's scam. On top of that, lying to your customers like that is very... questionable, to put it very politely.

Customer Service?

My story - I have bought a lot of items in the past from JetPens. My last purchase included a fountain pen. The description did not mention that it didn't come with a converter. When I received the pen, I realized I would need to buy a converter. In order to buy the converter, a $5 item, I would have to pay shipping that cost more than the converter. I asked them if they could just stick the converter (which is the size of a super skinny joint and weighs under an ounce) in a #10 envelope with a first class stamp - I'd be happy to pay for the stamp. They refused. That is a company that cares nothing about their customers. That was my last order from them forever. The two stars is because they have such a varied inventory and the prices are competitive. But I won't deal with a company that won't work you.

I'm a pen nerd and I approve of this web site

I'm a pen nerd! I admit it. At least here lol. JetPens is the best place I've found to window shop and to try out new fun pens. I particularly like their samplers, where you can get a bunch of different pens of a similar type, to test them out, Especially during COVID where we can't go test out pens at the local stationary store. Really good prices too.

Hit and Miss Customer Experience

I truly love JetPens but, at times they do things that make me question my love for them. 1) It seems half of their inventory is ALWAYS out of stock. 2) They have a bad habit of charging your credit card before the order is fulfilled only to send you an email letting you know that your order has been placed on hold due to a stocking error. Extremely frustrating. 3) The contents of my packages are sometimes damaged. A cardboard envelope and bubblewrap can only protect a package so much. JetPens needs to embrace using shipping boxes. 4) It took six days for JP to mail my last order. Six days!!! 5) Let's not forgot the increase in the minimum purchase amount for free shipping. I'm conflicted as to whether I should find an alternative retailer. I guess the next couple of orders will decide JP's fate.

High quality stationery at low prices

I have bought lots of different stationery, from Japanese chalk to Parker ballpoints to fountain pen necessities, from JetPens and have had a positive experience every time. Orders ship fast and arrive in perfect condition, customer service replies quickly and is helpful. The articles and video tutorials on their website have been very helpful to me for choosing which products to buy and how to use and maintain fountain pen accessories.

Very nice quality items for low prices

Very nice quality items for low prices. This was UNBELIEVABLE best $35 I’ve ever spent and shipping was very fast (2-day shipping to NC!!!) WAY BETTER THAN AMAZON, ETSY, or STAPLES for stationary supplies. THANKS!!!!!!

Fountain pens and more

I have placed several orders with Jetpens.com.
1) Great website. Includes tutorials, fact sheets, videos, customer comments/ratings, and tons of product support.
2) Variety of products at all price ranges. Some (not all) pens have a bit of a markup over, say, Amazon. But I found what I was looking for quickly and they do carry some things I couldn't find anywhere else.
3) Ships very fast. Accurate order tracking system.
4) Packaged securely in bubble wrap sealed with tape. Items always arrive safely.
5) Many popular items go out of stock quickly. There is an email restock-notification feature which is handy and works.

Great resource for all your writing needs

Great resource for all your writing needs. I'm not really a pen guy, at least not as much as some people who use that site, but I ended up finding my favorite pen there and now I can't live without it :) Ships quickly and free shipping for orders over $35. No complaints from them.

Wrong sizes sent

Wrong sizes sent. They really don't provide enough information to order the correct size. No problem, they still make a profit by the shipping costs alone. I ordered .38 mm refills but the barrels are really fat & won't fit my pens. They need to list both nib & barrel sizes

Good service and products

I bought a bunch of products ahead of starting Grad School, including some pens, tools, case and notepads.
The shipping was pretty quick - quicker than I was expecting, and everything arrived really neatly packed and in great condition.
Everything I purchased I'm happy with apart from one item, a notepad which on the website said that it was suitable as a refill for a refillable cover - however is way too big to fit the refill pad!! I'll still use it - but I'm disappointed about that. As for the rest of the items - I didn't buy anything ultra-expensive, they do have some incredibly fancy pens in the 100's - everything I bought turned up in mint condition.
